Basic Information of Jogja International Scout Camp 2018

The framework of Jogja International Scout Camp (JISC) is to improve the quality of Scouting in the middle of community, also keep environment in stabilize or equality. This event aims is to provide an experiential learning process to create mutual understanding and mutual benefit with cultural exchange activities from across regions and countries as framed in sister city cooperation between Special Region of Yogyakarta with several cities from different countries. Another purpose is to facilitate experience exchange, idea, and knowledge, so that it could inspire and motivate the participants to understand each other and build a better world.

For those purposes, “Jogja International Scout Camp 2018″ which will be held at Prambanan Temple Complex, Special Region of Yogyakarta, Indonesia in 3rd to 8th September 2018 will involve the participants in community to live with home stay system in five regencies (sub camps). The participants will learn about art and culture, handicraft, local wisdom include traditional food, traditional game and more. They, together with the community, will also be able to experience, learn, and inspire a variety of cultures, custom, and tradition in Yogyakarta.

  1. Rovers and Senior Rovers from Indonesia and also from abroad must be between 18 to 25 years old on the date of JISC 2018.
  2. Leaders who are interested in this Jogja International Scout Camp 2018 are also welcome to apply as JISC Planning Team.
Language English

Most of the activities of Jogja International Scout Camp 2018 will be conducted in English; although we will have translators, we still believe that participants who could speak English are more preferable.

Arrival and Departure Participants are expected to arrive at the Adi Sucipto International Airport and Yogyakarta (Tugu) Railway Station on 1st September 2018 and may leave on 9th September 2018.
Climate The temperature in September in Yogyakarta, Indonesia varies between 230C to 280C.
VISA Citizens of some countries will require valid visa to enter Indonesia. Thus, all participants should obtain an entry visa before traveling to Indonesia and can consult their local travel advice service.
Voltage Current electricity is available within 220 volts. May be some country might need an adaptor or transformer.

Anti-smoking and Alcohol Law Smoking and alcohol is banned in all closed public and work premises, including catering and accommodation establishments.
JISC Registration Fee U$ 200 Dollar per participant

Registration Fee will cover homestay and tent rent; foods & beverage needs; transportation & accommodation during the event; foreign ticket tourism; tour package; event package; kits (handbook, waist bag, id card and letter of appreciation); and event attributes (t-shirt, hat, scarf and badge).

The camp fee payment of U$120 (as down payment) must be paid off on 8th June 2018. Payment can be made through transfer to Jogja International Scout Camp Committee:
